Archaeological and Museum of Pachacamac Site
The Pachacamac museum was originally created on July 7, 1962. The new museum, inaugurated in 2016, has a large exhibition room whose main piece is the idol of Pachacamac. Offerings and various ceramic, textile and wood objects from research carried out at the site and the Pachacamac monumental archaeological zone are also exhibited. The museum serves as a prelude to the visit to the Sanctuary, explains its importance and shows the main archaeological finds from the site. The circuit of visits to the Pachacamac Sanctuary allows you to appreciate buildings and evidence of the Lima, Wari, Ychma and Inca cultures.
Important Information
- It is necessary to coordinate in advance if a guide is required to visit the museum.
- The consumption of food is not allowed in the museum or in the archaeological zone.
- Visiting with pets is not allowed, except for guide or assistance dogs and emotional support pets (accreditation).
- The use of tripods and selfie sticks is not permitted in the showroom.
- It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, a hat, sunglasses with vees and sunscreen.
- Children must be accompanied by an older person.
- Carry water or soft drink and stay hydrated.
- Follow the instructions of the museum staff.

Sunday from 09:00 am. to 3:00 p.m.
